Kittens Now

Our mama cat, Scamper, had a litter or kittens three weeks ago. Here are some pictures of them now.

Aren't they adorable? They are so sweet and precious, and I can't wait to watch them get bigger!



An Update! (I always love them!)

With pictures, too! That makes it double the fun! You all really don't know just how much pleasure it gives me to hear from people who have gotten a puppy from us!

Judy writes:
Hi! Well, long time no talk! Busy with Lola. She is doing great. She is out side all the time playing with the kids. Potty [training] well - avoiding outside poops. Well, that we are working on. Everybody that meets her loves her - plenty of babysitters. Goes to bed at 9 and still getting up at 5:00 - 5:30 but hoping it gets better. Got her first spa treatment last week with a hair cut so cute!! ... Hope to keep in touch. Thanks so so much - we love her and can not imagine my life with out her. ~Judy

Well, thank you again Judy, and I can't wait to recieve more updates and pictures!

 

Update from Cooper (Kestrel)

I just received an email the other day that warmed my heart. It was from the family that adopted Kestrel, whom they've now named Cooper.

It read:

"Hi Sarah,
I hope you & your family are well! Just wanted to send an updated picture of Cooper! He continues to be such a perfect addition to our family! He lost his two front baby teeth, which was so funny (& cute)! We've given him 1 haircut - which we probably won't do again :-) we certainly are not professionals!! I keep him trimmed around the face, but we'll leave the rest to the groomers!!
Ok, just wanted you to know that he is so loved!"

I just have to say thank you so much for updating me! I really enjoy getting the latest reports! Keep them coming! :-)

  

Updates

Hello everyone! All the puppies are either at their new homes, or on their way there right now (Phoebe, the last puppy, is flying to Oregon as I type). So far, we have Chickadee, now named Lola Petunia, in Massachusetts; Jay, lengthened to Cooper Jay, in Pennsylvania; Kestrel, renamed Cooper, and Lark, who I believe is still Lark, right here in Minnesota; and lastly Phoebe, soon to be Zeeva, going to Oregon. That's all the puppies in litter 2012! I want to say a big thank you to the new families for giving our babies such excellent homes! I couldn't be happier!

I wanted to post a couple pictures that got sent to me today by the owners of Cooper (Kestrel). By the way, I love it when new owners send me pictures and updates! Keep them coming! If you send me family photos of you with your new puppy, I can (if you'd like) post it on this blog so everyone can see them! Here are the photos of Cooper:

Not Completely Alone

Our last puppy, Phoebe (who is spoken for), is left all alone now that all the other puppies have gone to new homes. It will be her turn in a couple of weeks. :-) In the meantime, Phoebe would be feeling very lonely. Except for the fact that she has a few special friends. Our last puppy, my little Lark-boy, went to his forever home just this morning. So, to any of you who were still interested in getting a puppy, I'm sorry, but we have none left in this litter. However, Contact Us anyway, and I'll let you know when we have any future litters. Thanks so much!

"We're All Ready!"

Hello everybody! The puppies are now 9 weeks old and all ready to go to their new families! Two puppies left just today--Jay and Chickadee. But Kestrel, Lark, and Phoebe are still around, and what's more, Larky-boy is STILL AVAILABLE! This week I did all the photos in our van to help the puppies say, "We're ready to go to our new homes!" :-)

I got two group photos that I really liked:

"When you'll gonna come take us home?
We're gettin' tired of waitin'!" :-P

Of course, two puppies make the perfect pose, and I just manage to catch it... only to realize that I forgot to turn on my flash! Well, what else could I do but crank up all the settings in my photo editor, and turn those pictures into really "old", grainy, discolored photos. And, what do you know, these two turned out to be my favorite photos from the whole shoot! :-)

The Time has Come...

...For the puppies to start going to their new homes and owners. They are 8 weeks old today. It's a bittersweet time. We're very sad to see them go--we love them all so much--but at the same time, we're very happy with the wonderful homes and new families they're going to!

But, for those of you who are thinking that you've missed out on a puppy, I've got good news: You haven't! We still have one puppy available! Lark is the baby of the bunch. He loves to be pampered and petted. He also the curliest, so that's why I call him my teddy bear. :-) See our Available Pups page for updated individual pictures, and enjoy these random ones from our 8-week-old photo shoot:

Good News!

Hey everyone! You'll never guess the good news!

As you all know, we've been working with our puppies on manners training and some beginner potty training. We started around 3-4 weeks old with paper training, which the puppies caught on to very quickly. We then moved on to crate training.

Now here's the good news:
The puppies can now make it all the way through the night in their crate without wetting their bed! They go for 8 hours (9 pm - 5 am) and then go outside to go potty in the morning!

This is going to make it so much easier for those of you who are getting a puppy from us to finish completely potty training! :-)

Seven Weeks

Hello everyone! The puppies are now seven weeks old, and they can start going home with their new owners in just one more week! Are you all excited? I know I'm very happy with all the good homes that these puppies are going to be going to. But for those of you who feel like you're missing out on all the fun, it's not too late yet! We still have one puppy left available: Lark! We've have about four people interested in him right now, but no one has made a definite decision about him, so you can jump on your chance to add a sweet, loving puppy to your family.

Today all the puppies had a bath, got brushed and trimmed around the eyes, and then had their de-worming and their first round of shots! They are now all up-to-date on their shots and de-worming, almost ready for their new homes--just one more week of wait!

After their up-to-dating, we had our weekly photo shoot. Here's this week's group photo:

Only One Puppy Left

That's right! There's only one puppy who's still available: our little Lark. He is a sweetheart! Even though he's a male, he's such a softy, and will need someone to love and pamper him. His coloring is unique, in that he has one tan ear and one white ear. I call him my little teddy bear, since he is SO curly and so huggable! :-) If you want to give Lark a loving, new home, Contact Us right away. 1/2 Way to 10 Weeks!

Hello everyone! The puppies are now 5 WEEKS OLD!! I can hardly believe! They are so cute, so energetic, and SO sweet! They've been enjoying spending their days out in the sunshine outside. They're whelping pen has been getting just a little too small for them, and is only used at night.

We're excited as we've had some wonderful people interested the puppies. We'd be so glad if they all go to such good homes!

First Bath!

All the puppies had their first bath yesterday, at 4 1/2 weeks old. I can't say that they exactly enjoyed the event, but over time their get used to being in the water. Chickadee did the best and was the calmest during this new experience. Other little news bits:

• Today the puppies are spending time outside in the green grass and their big doghouse. 
• The pups are playing and romping really energetically now, although they still like nothing better than to cuddle on your lap.
• The puppies are now looking forward to their daily meals of dog food and diluted cows milk. They gobble it up with unending hungriness.
• Paper training is going well, although it's more about catching the puppies at the right time rather than the puppies actually using the paper themselves. But, with consistency, they'll all get the hang of it soon.
• I've got some people interested in the puppies--most of them seem to be looking for a female. Our policy is "First come, first served," so if you're interested please don't hesitate to Contact Us.

Now 4 Weeks Old

The puppies are now 4 weeks old! My time flies! We're now able to see their Blenheim markings coming out more clearly, and we're able to tell their temperaments better. They love playing outside, and have begun eating moistened food. They bark and playfully growl, and are getting to be good little "watch-puppies." :-) For more information and individual pictures, see our Available Pups page. 

Puppies' First Meal

Hey everyone! The puppies are going outside during the day to take advantage of these beautiful, warm, sunshiny days! Here's some pictures of them having their very first meal of Dog Style Captain Crunch and Milk (aka: Puppy Chow with diluted cows milk over it). Here's some photos of them:
