1. Where are you located?
CC is located in the countryside of Cokato, Minnesota.
2. Have you raised puppies before?
Yes. Our family raised Border Collies for three years before we retired our mother dog, Shasta Daisy. Even though Border Collies are vastly different from the smaller breed dogs, we are really enjoying the experience of raising Cavachon puppies!
3. Do you own the puppies' parents?
I own Nikki, the puppies' mother. Currently we have been breeding her to a friend and relative's purebred Bichon.
4. What is a Cavachon?
A Cavachon is a hybrid mix between a purebred Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Bichon Frise. This is called a first generation cross (F1). Cavachons are non-shedding and hypo-allergenic. They make excellent pets for children, and can be either indoor or outdoor dogs (depending mainly on whether you want to keep their coats looking nice or you enjoy grooming). They are not just lap dogs, although they're very affectionate and love to snuggle; Cavachons also love to play, love to go for walks, and love to be out in the sunshine. They are loyal, protective dogs, but do very well with other pets--whether cats or dogs.
5. When two Cavachons are bred to each other, are the puppies still going to be Cavachons?
Yes. This is called a second generation cross (F2). The puppies would, however, be more likely to tend towards either one purebred (Cavalier) or the other (Bichon). However, our litters are a cross between a first generation Cavachon (the mother, Nikki) and someone else's purebred Bichon stud. This is called a back cross (F1b). The puppies in this litter will be more likely to be non-shedding and hypoallergenic than the puppies from second generation litters.

6. What makes CC unique?
Our puppies have unusual quality. They are loved and handled from day one! We only have one female, and put all our time and effort into each litter--instead of having multiple females and multiple litters at once. Also, unlike most breeders, we spend lots of time working with these puppies giving them manners training and beginner potty training. We begin with paper training, which they get the hang of very quickly, and then move on to crate training. Our manners training includes simple things such as come, sit, no biting, and no jumping up. All these things make for a well-adjusted puppy that will quickly bond to you and be much easier to train!
7. What is CC's goal?
We raise puppies because we love puppies, and we want to bless other dog-lovers with loyal canine companions.
